What is the Dana Point Women's Club? And why should you join!
About a year ago I joined the DPWC and it’s the best decision I could have made to build new relationships and support the greater community in Orange County.
Nestled in the heart of Dana Point’s Lantern District stands a beacon of community service and camaraderie – the Dana Point Women’s Club. Since its inception in 1951, this organization has been a cornerstone of support and empowerment for women, children, and families in South Orange County. But what exactly is the Dana Point Women’s Club, and why should you consider joining?
A Legacy of Service and Unity
The Dana Point Women’s Club isn’t just a club; it’s a legacy. For over 70 years, members have dedicated their time, talents, and resources to uplift and strengthen their community. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization affiliated with the General Federation of Women’s Clubs and the California Federation of Women’s Clubs, DPWC operates with a clear mission: to make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.
Community House: The Heart of Dana Point
At the center of DPWC’s operations stands the Community House, a charming event space that serves as more than just a venue. It's a symbol of unity and purpose. Every event, meeting, or celebration held within its walls contributes to the club's philanthropic efforts. Proceeds from Community House rentals go directly towards building maintenance and support for DPWC's numerous community programs.

The Dana Point Women’s Club embodies the notion of “fun in philanthropy.” Here, members come together not only to make a difference but also to forge lifelong friendships and bonds. Whether it’s volunteering at local events, organizing fundraisers, or participating in outreach programs, DPWC members find joy in giving back to their community. We gather to work together in philanthropy!
Philanthropic Initiatives: Making an Impact
DPWC’s commitment to philanthropy is evident in its diverse range of programs aimed at addressing various community needs. From supporting financial literacy and preventing homelessness through SparkPoint OC to brightening the holidays for children through Project Angel Tree, each initiative is designed to make a meaningful impact on the lives of South Orange County residents.
